Spider wood has many branches which offers ideal spots for aquatic plants to grow and provides a comfortable shelter for fish and shrimp. It is well-suited for freshwater aquariums. Decorating the driftwood with water plants will enhance your tanks visual appeal. The wood may release tannins, which can cause a mild yellow or brown tint in the water; this is a natural process that fades over time. Boiling the wood before use can help reduce tannin release.
Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium. If you prefer, you may also boil the wood for at least 1-2 hours to help release tannins.
Spider wood is buoyant and can float upon initial use
