Cholla Driftwood comes from the dried husk of the Cholla Cactus and is popular in shrimp tanks. It offers great hiding spots for shrimp and encourages bio-film growth, which serves as a natural food source for shrimp and baby fish. You can also attach mosses, Marimo Balls, Buce, Anubias, or other plants to create a natural sunken log effect in your aquarium. The wood may release tannins, causing a slight yellow or brown tint in the water, which will fade over time. Boiling before use can help reduce this.

Important note:This tunnel is best suited for freshwater shrimp or small fry. If you have larger, curious fish or other fauna (such as a betta fish) that may try to explore such small crevices, there is a risk they may get caught or stuck in the tunnel. Please be mindful of this before placing in your aquarium.
Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium. If you prefer, you may also boil the wood for at least 1-2 hours to help release tannins.
